International Meeting Generations (IGM) was founded in 2006 by Irmgard and Dietrich Praclik. Their enthusiasm for the project has inspired many people and since that time numerous activities have been developed. Often close friendships have developed that also survive later separation across continents. IGM thanks all participants for the wonderful experiences and encounters and the many beautiful memories we can share.

International Generations Meeting has repeatedly been awarded prizes. In November 2008, the Pracliks, on behalf of IGM, received an award from the Federal Foreign Office for outstanding support for international students (Download). In March 2010 IGM received the prize "Gesicht zeigen" from the city of Darmstadt.

Prizes and grants from the Carlo and Karin Giersch Foundation have been spent on events and material. In addition, IGM is grateful for the support of the Studierendenwerk Darmstadt (the student representative body of the TU Darmstadt and other institutions). And of course for the many voluntary contributions of IGM supporters.
